Tony is younger than Mark and great with tech. Mark thinks they can get more money if they can make it move even faster. Mark calls Tony, the master machinist, for help. Gil says he will give them 60-65 grand if they can get the vehicle drag racing under nine seconds. Shawn tries to get Mark on board because the buyer, Gil Losi, is an innovator in the car world. Mark is far from excited about the idea of turning this automobile into a different type of car. He knows that it normally costs over six figures to make that happen. There is very little time to celebrate the opening because Mark tasks his mechanics with turning an old 1953 Buick into an upgraded sleeper. As the mechanics start to hit the gas on the Buick project, Shawn, the deal maker, approaches Mark with another exciting prospect. Shawn introduces the idea of converting a 1973 Pinto into a new electric drag racing car.
